LOOK WHO'S 1!!!

Now Abby's one!!! She is such a cute little thing, her face is so girly- I love it!!! For Abby's 1 year photos we did a mini session (30 min, 10 images). Mini's are great for milestone photos such as, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year, or to focus in on one child for their birthday. Abby was a wild lady and was not about to set still during her photo session. She really made me work, but I think we got some keepers! It's much easier to capture to little ones outside in nice whether, because I live in Indiana that's impossible 4+ months of the year- so we have to make it work. Abby and her family are about to move in what's going to be her childhood home!!! I, along with may others have a special place in my heart for my childhood home. I can recall playing in my backyard, the day I got my training wheels off, playing house in our garage. I think we all have many memories of that time. I often think about how simple it was back then and how the days seemed to last much longer and everything seemed so big. That's is why I love to get pictures of the little ones on their porch. I try to capture that moment. I would like to wish Abby a Happy Birthday and a big Thanks to her mommy for giving me the opportunity to take Abby's photos throughout the year!!! Thanks, enjoy!!!

Lucy....

My little niece Lucy!!! She was so good! I had a great time working with her. In person I really seen daddy and big brother, but as I edit the photos all I could see was mommy. I was excited to see her and to break out some new props. I can't say enough about her cooperation, April (big sis) did a great job at keeping her up prior to the shoot. I was hoping to get some more smiles; the little stinker gave me a giant smile in-between props as I was holding her. However, I did get one more and was happy to capture it!!! I would like to "Thank" April and her friend Angie for all of their help during the shoot. We had 4 other kids running around, the oldest being 3, were crazy (lol)!!! Enjoy the pics!!! Congratulations to the Hinchmen family, she is a keeper!!!

Atticus's Newborn photos!!!

Atticus, I love that name!!! He is a little cutie, and was wonderful to work with. This shoot went really well. I love watching first time parents. It reminds me of when my husband and I brought are first one home. I also love when sentimental ideas are brought to the shoot, I feel as if it adds more emotion and meaning to the image. "Thank You" to both mom and dad for all of their help!!! And "thank you" for inviting me into your home and giving me the opportunity to work with the newest member of your family.

I don't know if I would yet call myself a baby charmer but I'm getting much better with every shoot. Not only am I more comfortable with the little ones, but I'm also learning new little tricks each time.

Finally more photos!!! I hope you've all haven't missed Perfect Reflections too much in the last few weeks. It was a nice break, but I'm happy to be back in action. I was more then pleased to kick off the New Year with this little cutie!!! I absolutely love newborn photos, they are so cute yet challenging! This little sweetie was so good, not very sleepy though. I kept getting the one eye look, she didn't want to miss any of the action. Finally, she did zonk out but most of the time she was faking it. With the slightest sound her one little eye would open and check it out. However, I couldn't have asked for a better baby, I don't think she cried once!!! I would like to "Thank" mom for welcoming me into her cute home and giving me the opportunity to work with her newest addition. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!!!
