Carrie's Kids

What great kids! I was rather nervous about this photo-shoot, working with three kids can be challenging. However, these guys were wonderful, mom and grandma were a big help too. The day was very hot and sunny, creating harsh shadows and squinting eyes. However, I knew this before I went into this photo-shoot and it gave me a reason to breakout the pop-sickles at the end. Anyhow, I was determined to capture some of the shots I had planned in my head, which were in direct sun. What I learned from this photo-shoot is to have a plan B. Although, I feel as if the photos are very good. I wish I would have had a a few more shots in the shade, just to give my client a little more variety. Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome and the kids are absolutely adorable, making it impossible to go wrong. Thank you Carrie for giving me the opportunity to photograph your family and to capture this point in time. I would be honored to work with you again in the future. I hope you enjoy the sneak-peek, and there is more to come. As always, these aren't necessarily the best of show just a few I picked. Enjoy, Thank you!!!

Harper's 1year photos

What an amazing family, I love them all!!! Harper is such a cute, fun little girl. She makes me want a little girl for myself. It was so fun dressing her up and playing during our photo-shoot, she really is a darling. The day was great. Gloomy, yet nice for a photographer no harsh shadows or squinting eyes. The people and the surrounding I was working with were even better. Mr. & Mrs. Shaffer did a fabulous job on the over all atmosphere of their yard, WOW... What I took away from this shoot was to always bring all of my equipment. I left my flash at home, not thinking I would need it. This wouldn't be that big of a deal if I were shooting a flower on a gloomy day in May. However, I was shooting a very active little girl on a gloomy day. However, I feel as if I was able to pull it off and the outcome is too cute. I hope you enjoy the sneak-peek, there are more to come. Thank you for making me your "personal photographer" for Harper's 1 year photos, and I would love the opportunity to take more as the years go on.

Prom 2010

This one took me back about 10 years. I can't believe time slips away so fast, yet somethings will never change. My little sister Miranda let me shoot some of her pre-prom pics with her buddy Zach and his cousin. Miranda has been my #1 Perfect Reflections supporter from day one. She is such a fun gal to work with and rolls with the punches. Being the big sis I enjoy giving her a hard time during our photo-shoots, all in good fun. This was my first time doing a prom shoot and I found that it wasn't my ordinary photo-shoot. Miranda had places to go and people to see. Therefore, I had to be fast, keep the mud off her dress and try not to drive her buddy crazy with "one more shot-stay there".... What I took away from this shoot was to not rush it; set it up think composition, get the good one from the start. When in a time-limit situation I find myself snapping pictures without thinking, I need to remember less is better if the few were thought through. As always the photos posted are just a sneak-peek for those interested and not necessarily the best of show, I hope you enjoy your photos and more are on the way. I would like to Thank Zach's family for allowing be to take the photos at their beautiful place and for being so welcoming. To all my prom-people, you looked wonderful. Thank you for letting be be a part of your night!!!

Olivia, Greenwood Senior 2010

What a happy-go-lucky gal! It was so fun to work with this senior. She was willing to get her feet dirty and managed to keep smiling throughout it all. We had some smiling help from the "hey youuu" ... To top it all off, it was a great day for photos the lighting couldn't of been better. Therefore, I had to tell the hubs "time flies when your having fun!"... Overall, I'm very excited about her photo-shoot. Olivia's great personality allowed me to feel comfortable to ask her to stomp through weeds, step in the cold water and get some mud on herself. With that said, what I took away from this session was to find the seniors comfort zone and to not be afraid to ask them to get a little dirty. That helps make the photos great and ultimately that's the goal!!! I would like to give a "thank you" to Olivia for making me a part of her Senior year, I hope you love the photos. Also a big thanks for driving due to a last minute red Kool-Aid mess in my car. I hope you enjoy the sneak-peek, not necessarily my best of photo-shoot. Just a few I picked to worked on!!!

Harry is the cutest little baby and his baby fat makes me laugh. He has such a neat personality starting to develop and it was fun to be a part of his 6 month milestone. The photo-shoot was at Harry's house and his mom did a great job at helping. I couldn't ask for better clients or a better day. As I've said before, I learn something new with each photo-shoot. This one really helped me realize the importance to have a quick plan with the little one's and minimal outfit changes. Harry was a very good sport but started to tinker out on us at the end. Lucky for me his mommy is a good friend of mine and this session is to be continued during another visit. Thank you, Terri and all those Harry's for the opportunity to photograph such a cute baby!

Hi people!
Thanks for visiting my blog. This is a spot were people can go and see a sneak-peek of their photo-shoot. This is also a fun place for future client's to visit and get a feel for my personality and review some of my work. I also like to add something that I took away from each session, keeping my mind open to learning will only help me get better. I'm really excited about this summer, I feel as if my work is gone to a whole new level. Technologically, I'm still working out some bugs but overall I think things are going to go really smooth and I'm about to get very busy, I can feel it. I would love for you to visit my website at http://www.nataliemphotos.com/, e-mail me at nattiem2000@ yahoo.com, or call 317-403-3713 with any questions you may have or to book an appointment.
